Using iTunes to Download Games to Your iPod
Forget the old “beat-box” systems from the 80’s. Today’s teen loves to listen to tunes on an iPod. With this technology towering over the old-fashioned records and CD’s, it can be an amazing device that is nothing short of a mini-computer. The iPod has a lot of attractions for you to play with, including their vast assortment of games. It does not take long to mater these games and this brings on a new dilemma. When all the fun and games are over, it is time to download new ones. By following a few easy steps, you can download new games from your computer to your iPod in just a matter of minutes. There are two things required for this transfer: a fifth generation iPod and a computer that has an iTunes account.
1. Find iTunes
Your computer probably has hundreds of different applications. If you do not currently use iTunes, you need to download it to the computer. It is a simply process that only takes a few minutes. Once you have completed that part, you need to launch the application from the desktop. If you need to download it, make sure to put an icon on the desktop that allows you to easily access it the next time around.
2. iTunes Store
Next, you are going virtual shopping. The iTunes store is an amazing place that has tons of games, videos, movies and anything else you can think of. Up in the left hand corner of the store, you will see a link that says games. Click on the games link and browse the vast selection.
3. Selecting Your Games
The hardest part about this process is finding the games you want. Be patient and really take your time, as there is several to choose from. You can find any game you want. From the old school Pac-Man and Frogger games to the latest ones on the market, there is something for everyone. Find the game you cannot live without and then download it into your iTunes account. This is a pretty straight forward process.
4. Read The Instructions
Each game that is downloaded comes with instructions on how to properly play. Under the “iPod games” section of the iTunes account the instructions can be easily pulled up. Take a minute and learn all the tips and cheats to help you master yet another game.
5. Sync The New Games
The final process requires that you sync your games into the iPod. To do this, you need to use an USB connector cable and plug it into the computers’ port. A dock connector will also work in this instance too. It will take just a few minutes for the computer to download the game to the iPod. Once complete, you will get a message that the transfer was successful. At that time you can disconnect the USB port form the iPod and you are ready to play.
Now that everything is finished, it is time to play your new game. To get back to the main menu button after the download, just keep hitting menu. Once on the main screen, you will be able to see your game and enjoy it.
